Zoo

The four of us visited the zoo this past weekend. It was a lot of fun!

Leo got to see lions for the first time. He's pointing at the mommy lion resting on the rock and saying "Dat?".


And Drake saw a coati, his new favorite animal, in an animal show. Drake loved watching it walk a tight rope, climb down a ladder and stand on it's back legs on a tree stump. When the coati came out, Drake jumped to his feet and stood on his tippie toes to get a better view. You can see the keen interest on Drake's sweet face in this photo.


I tried to get a shot of Drake's face as he watched the coati, but his little head turned too fast!


A giant vulture flew inches above our heads after the coati left the stage. The huge bird made Drake a little uncomfortable.


Leo wasn't very interested in the animals in the show. He was too preoccupied with his sippie cup.


It was a glorious, perfect day. The four of us had a wonderful time and the weather couldn't have been more beautiful. It was the kind of day that leaves a warm, lovely feeling in your heart. Just perfect.
