Superstars!

Matt and I are proud to announce that we have two sleepers and two rollers. The babies have been consistently sleeping through the night for nearly two weeks now! They tuck in for the night at about 8:30pm and they wake up sometime between 5-7:00am. Sweet Matt still isn't sleeping through the night every night because the boys have a habit of smashing their heads against the rails in their cribs. They scream like little monsters until somebody readjusts them, and they fall right back to sleep as soon as they are comfortable again. Since Matt is a light sleeper, he usually gets up to reposition the babies.

About a week ago, Drake started rolling over from his back to his tummy while he was frantically chasing his thumb. Once he flopped over to his tummy, thumb planted firmly in mouth, he would start howling because he had his arm pinned under his body. After about a week of this rolling in pursuit of the thumb, Drake realized that he had a whole new perspective on the world once he was on his tummy. On Wednesday (5/28/08), he started rolling over on purpose.

Leo had rolled from back to tummy a few times by complete accident, but it was inconsistent and not very frequent. Leo also started rolling over in pursuit of his little thumb on Wednesday afternoon. By bedtime, he had started rolling over on purpose. Now the little duffer rolls over within seconds of being placed on his back!

The babies now spend the vast majority of every day playing on the floor. They love to reach out and touch each other, and they constantly chat and giggle. Leo is wearing the Arizona Diamondbacks onesie, and Drake is wearing the blue and white striped onesie.

Yesterday, Leo discovered Drake's right ear.

That was fine and dandy until Leo started twisting and yanking. You can see that it makes Leo sad to hear Drake cry.

Already the superstars are masters of irony.

I LOVE that bottom picture of Leo's distress at the pain he's inflicting on Drake.
